Longevity products: our selection

Saunas, red light, sleep, recovery, tests and supplements: the brands we have chosen for a longevity home, on a single page.

Longevity products: our selection

This page brings together in one place the longevity products we have selected in the guides of this section: infrared saunas, red light, sleep technology, recovery devices, tests and supplements. For each brand we show the category, what it is for and the guide where we discuss it in detail.

The criterion is the same as in the whole section: first the products that improve the environment and habits, then those that measure, and finally supplements. We do not publish prices, which change often: up-to-date prices are on the brands’ websites.

How we chose the longevity products

We assessed each brand on five points: history and solidity of the company, build or scientific quality, transparency of information, availability and service in Europe, and consistency with a high-end home. We excluded brands without clear information, products that do not comply with European regulations and services that promise results no one can guarantee.

This selection is not a ranking and it is not complete: it is a starting point for those designing a longevity home who want to know where to begin. We will update it over time.

Longevity products and the architectural project

Many longevity products work better if the house is ready to receive them: a dedicated electrical line for the sauna, a drain for the cold plunge, sockets next to the bed for temperature systems, a free wall for the red light panel, a ventilated room for the gym. Planning them in the design costs little and keeps the spaces clean.

The studio of Federico Cappellina integrates these products into villa and renovation projects, coordinating installers and suppliers. The selection on this page comes from that experience: these are longevity products that can be integrated into a high-end home without compromising its architecture.

Longevity products and maintenance

Each longevity product needs different maintenance. Infrared saunas ask little: cleaning the wood and airing. Cold plunges need water and filter checks, like a small pool. Electronic devices need updates and, sometimes, subscriptions. Tests and supplements need a periodic review with your doctor.

In a villa with maintenance services, these checks become part of the household routine. It is worth planning for this from the start, choosing longevity products with local service and easy access to the technical installations.

Longevity products: what we left out and why

We did not include supplements based on substances not authorised in the European Union, even when they are very popular elsewhere; devices that promise health effects without verifiable sources; services that sell standard protocols that are the same for everyone; brands with no reachable service in Europe. Excluding is as much a part of selection as including.

Nor did we include the furniture, lighting and materials brands that contribute to a healthy home: we gather them in The Villa Edit, our selection of materials and interiors for villas, which shares the same criteria as this page.

Longevity products for a home by the sea or in the mountains

Second homes have specific needs. By the sea, humidity and salt call for suitable materials and cabins, and the wellness area opens naturally onto the garden and the pool. In the mountains the sauna is almost a necessity and the bedroom has to handle cold and silence well. In both cases longevity products should be chosen with seasonal use and maintenance by third parties in mind.

A practical tip: choose brands with service in the area of the home and plan an accessible plant room, so that checks can be done even when the owners are away.

Longevity products: how to compare them

Comparing longevity products from different categories is difficult: a sauna and a sleep ring cannot be measured with the same yardstick. The most useful criterion is the effect on daily life in relation to the effort required. A product used every day without effort is worth more than a spectacular one that sits unused.

For each longevity product it is worth asking: how much space does it need? Does it require building work or services? How much maintenance? Is service available locally? Will I really use it? The answers often change the order of purchases more than any review.

Lifespan and value over time

Some longevity products, such as saunas and cold plunges, last many years and become part of the house; others, such as electronic devices, are overtaken within a few years. For the former it is worth investing in quality and design; for the latter it makes sense to choose upgradable models and plan for replacement over time.

Longevity products for companies and hotels

The same selection also concerns those designing spaces other than homes: high-end hotels, serviced residences, executive offices. A wellness area with an infrared sauna, rooms designed for sleep, a gym with recovery devices are services increasingly requested by guests and staff. Longevity products chosen with judgement become part of the offer, not an accessory.

The studio also works on projects of this kind, applying the same principles: first the spaces and services, then the products, always with brands that offer service and warranties suited to intensive use.

Longevity theories and products

Many longevity products stem from the popular writing of researchers such as David Sinclair, who popularised ideas about sirtuins, NAD+ and habits such as heat, cold and fasting. That is why our selection favours products that support those habits, such as sauna, sleep and recovery, over molecules still being studied.

In practice: a sauna or a bed system is a longevity product used every day for years, while a fashionable new molecule may be overtaken by research within a few months. When a product needs services or space, it is best chosen together with whoever is designing the house.

Longevity products as a gift

Some longevity products also make appreciated gifts, because they combine wellbeing and technology: a sleep ring, a muscle recovery device, a biological age test for someone curious to know theirs. Others, such as a sauna or a bed system, are purchases to make together with whoever will use them and whoever is designing the house.

A four-step path

For those starting from scratch we suggest an order. First the bedroom and sleep, with the simplest interventions and the longevity products for bed temperature. Then the wellness area, with an infrared sauna and cold water. Then measurement, with a wearable and blood tests. Finally, if your doctor considers it useful, supplements.

Each step has its own guide: sleep and recovery, sauna and wellness at home, biohacking and tests, longevity supplements. The starting point for everything is the longevity home.

Frequently asked questions about longevity products

Does Elite Luxury Real Estate sell these products?

No. Longevity products are bought on the brands’ websites; some links may be affiliate links, as stated in the transparency note.

Because they change often and depend on the model and the country. Up-to-date prices are on the brands’ official websites.

Many are, some test services may not be. Before buying, check shipping, service and compliance with European regulations.

With those that improve sleep and the home environment. Measuring tools and supplements come later.

Designing the longevity home

A longevity home is designed, not furnished afterwards. The studio of Federico Cappellina integrates the wellness area, sauna, a bedroom designed for sleep, and air and light quality from the very first design: anyone thinking about a new villa or a renovation can start here.
